About Jiyu guitars

The story began in 2019 when I built the first JIYU guitars prototype. My goal was to design a high-end, custom guitar that met my needs as a guitarist while also developing the N-Lock system, which allows for easy neck removal to facilitate transport and offer this feature to guitarists.

Thus, I decided to create JIYU guitars (“freedom” in Japanese) to provide musicians with a premium, customizable, and ergonomic instrument.

I recognized the challenges associated with transporting electric guitars, whether by plane, train, or car. After conducting a survey of over 150 guitarists worldwide, the conclusion was clear: 70% of us face similar issues related to bulkiness, fragility, and weight.

With our “N-Lock” option, which allows for easy neck removal to simplify transport, our ambition is to create an instrument that exceeds expectations by offering an innovative perspective.
